Exhibitions
Providing a platform for display is one of the ways in which the gallery promotes emerging Artists. The Nommo Gallery is today reputed for holding monthly solo or joint exhibitions on various themes. The women exhibition which often takes place to match with the International Women’s Day and the Independence Day Exhibition not forgetting the Young Artists Exhibition are some of the most popular exhibitions at the Gallery. It was in such a spirit that Nommo Gallery organized 110 artists to participate in CHOGM activities and the output of that was the curving of the CHOGM Sculpture that now stands out in the Parliamentary Gardens.
Entertainment
In line with the Gallery mandate to preserve the works of art for the coming generations, the Gallery consistently provides rich entertainment to visitors; giving you the style and tastes of our artists, in addition to helping you learn about ‘The Pearl of Africa’ and its Cultures through art masterpieces always on display there, which can be bought by Art collectors or lovers at friendly prices.
Education
To fulfill its educational role, the Gallery carries out industrial training with students from Uganda’s institutions of higher learning and universities and as well has designed programs such as Child Art Programme and plays its social responsibility role by working with other organizations on developmental projects like anti-corruption and anti-malaria, to mention but two. It also coordinates with other countries through their embassies to promote art and Culture.
