National Theatre Dance Studio
The National Theatre Dance Studio derives its purpose from the UNCC mission. It is therefore here to support, and provide facilities for productions at the UNCC to nature talents in dance through training and the creative Artistic processes.
a) Performing Arts Groups we work with:
We host a number of groups like National Contemporary Ballet, Latin Flavour, Tabu Flo, Mutimizi, Bonfire, Keiga Dance Co., and the Music Dance and Drama department of Makerere University. These groups usually come together every quarter and showcase what they have achieved in a performance in the National Theatre Auditorium or at given function and events hosted by UNCC.
Latin Flavor is one of the groups that have transcended to greater heights with their monthly shows on every last Wednesday of the month at 6:00 p.m. Latin Flavor also carries out weekly social evenings on Sundays. This is open to the public and every one dances to the tunes of Latin music.
b) Dance Lessons we instruct:
- Hip hop classes on Saturdays and Sunday Afternoons.
- Latin dance classes on Fridays at 5:00 p.m.
